Cross Country Training

Group relays...a great effort team!

Cross country training has officially begun.

Chrome Books and iPads Using Technology in the Classroom

Keeping track of currents events and understanding them is much easier using Google Slides and the Six Thinking Hats.
Thanks to Point England School in Auckland for the idea.

Kiwi Kids News is a great place for reading not only articles from NZ but from all over the world.  From water allergies in the USA to All Blacks injuries.  The class loves it.

School Journals have just put their latest reading books online.  Keep reading!

Cup Stacking Challenge

Team Challenge Day is always a good day in Room 2.
Using only a rubber band and five strings to move plastic cups into a pyramid
was easy for this group.

Kahoot.it The best fun taking a quiz...EVER!

When can a teacher boast that they have every student in a class of 31 hanging on their every word? When that teacher is giving an online quiz using kahoot.it !

Maths Talk

Collaborative problem solving in maths is a great way to get everyone talking about maths in class. Learning how other students use different strategies to solve a maths problem helps when to figure out the most efficient method.

Action Origami

One of the measurement tasks we completed in class focused on accuracy.  Arshjot has his paper lined up ready to connect the pieces.
Libby modelling the final result.

Caritas Rice Day

In support of Caritas New Zealand our school held a rice day.  We also were allowed to wear mufti and the gold coins we brought in went to support communities in the Philippines.

Swimming Sport

Misty and Libby paddling in circles.
The rain may have fallen but look at Shavonne...She brightens up the day in her Whakaue House colours.

Golden Time Sherbet Concoctions

Great fun when everyone keeps the Golden Rules!
